Developing a strategic plan for the future
We developed a comprehensive Strategic Planning Initiative to address the rapidly changing needs of a well-respected, co-educational independent private day school.
The Situation
The long-standing Headmaster of a private day school had three years until the end of his posting. This upcoming event drove the need for the creation of a solid strategic plan that would pave the way for the school’s future and aid in finding the right replacement. The plan needed to address several key challenges including changing demographics, the need for expanded geographic reach, lack of predictable, measurable and structured business processes, and the need for a new leadership model that would give focus on an evolving working culture.
The Satori Solution
Leveraging our extensive experience in the education sector, we worked with the Long-Range Planning Committee to define enduring objectives that would guide the strategic plan. We then developed a strategy architecture which connected the effected components of the institution and clarified responsibilities.
To achieve the stated deliverables, we provided the overall leadership of the initiative and strategic facilitation services. Additionally, we provided direct program management and practical support ensuring the operational workload of the project was executed and delivered in a timely manner.
