Developing a warehouse for credit derivatives

We provided the planning, structure, and communications support that positioned our client to make positive contributions to an industry-wide initiative.

The Situation
A leading global investment bank was participating in the creation of an industry-wide Trade Information Warehouse (TIW). The TIW would streamline credit derivatives clearing and settlement, support rapidly increasing trading volumes, and reduce operational and compliance risk. The bank needed help providing timely support and feedback to the organization building the TIW, the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC). It also needed to build out its IT systems and change its operating procedures to ensure smooth interaction with the Warehouse.

The Satori Solution
Drawing on our expertise in program management, capital markets, and technology, we built a project plan that included a streamlined set of internal and external deadlines and deliverables. We developed an action-oriented agenda for the working groups that were driving industry specifications and developing internal functional and technical requirements. We also managed the dialogue between our client and the DTCC by developing communications templates and drafting weekly project reports.

The Results
We successfully coordinated the bank's efforts with the building of the TIW, positioning it to become the industry leader in key areas of the initiative.
