Our clients are continually faced with the challenges of improving core business processes to differentiate themselves, reduce costs and streamline operations. Compliance with new regulatory requirements, such as Sarbanes-Oxley, has also become a driver for critically assessing business processes and controls. Our professionals are experts in business process analysis and engineering, which enables significant improvements in process efficiency (e.g. reducing cost, cycle time and time to market) and effectiveness (e.g., improving quality, satisfaction, compliance and controls). We help identify opportunities for improvement, design optimal business processes, and deploy newly engineered or refined processes to achieve performance targets. To ensure the impact of these activities is realized, we apply performance management techniques (metrics, dashboards, etc.) on our engagements.

The key components of our Business Process Engineering offering are:

Process Analysis - Analytic activities to understand the key components of a business process and their Interdependencies.

-

Business Area Analysis - Analyzing all relevant aspects of a business area's processes, inputs, outputs and throughput in the context of their alignment to functional and corporate goals / strategy.

-

Activity Analysis - Analyzing and measuring key dimensions for each activity within a critical business process, including resource assignment, time, cost, and throughput.

Process Design - Modeling activities to show the relationships between components and predict how changes will impact outcomes.

-

Financial & Value Modeling - Associating quantitative financial and performance data with activities, processes, and process models.

-

Workflow Modeling - Documenting business processes and activities in such a way as to show relationships, sequence, iteration and control. Workflow modeling can be used to depict both the current and desired future state of the operational aspects of a work procedure, including how tasks are structured, who performs them, what their relative order is, how they are synchronized, how information flows to support the tasks, how tasks are tracked, and throughput.

-

Data Modeling - Analyzing information and identifying its logical internal relationships. Data and information modeling concentrates on the logical entities and the logical relationships between these entities with particular emphasis on the structure and format of the data/information in order to identify a data structure that will be robust, internally consistent, non-redundant and easily accessed, to maximize ease of use and performance. Data and information modeling may also include analyzing and designing the ownership, alignment and relationships of data and information especially as it relates to a business process and/or application in order to identify opportunities for optimization.

Process Implement & Refine - Detailed design, development and deployment activities needed to optimize new or refined sourcing and service relationships or business processes.

-

Sourcing & Service Optimization - Reviewing and assessing the processes within the business and their relationships to business services and organizational requirements. Sourcing and service optimization is used to identify opportunities for improved performance, cost reduction or quality improvement through consolidation and sharing of services by different units within an organization, or by making adjustments to outsourcing and third party/vendor relationships.

-

Business Process Optimization - Designing or redesigning business processes to improve business performance and quality through: elimination or streamlining of process steps, bottlenecks, lags and overlaps; realignment or reassignment of process ownership; addition or revision of process metrics; the addition of new supporting technologies, or elimination of outdated technologies.
