Validating a records and retention program

The Situation

In order to ensure compliance with new global regulations, the Compliance division of a major investment bank decided to undertake a strategic program to centralize the management and retention of its records. A key objective was to create a strong yet flexible framework that could adapt to changes in the business and regulatory landscape. While the firm had already established a best-in-class records retention methodology, it needed to refine and implement the model.

Over one hundred operational systems built automated processes to feed records into the central repository in less than six months.
