Implementing a Search and Collaboration Platform

The Situation

At a global biotechnology firm, the research function’s data assets and knowledge capital resided in a variety of locations and formats, hindering the ability to share and leverage this information across the organization.  To address this issue, the firm decided to develop a custom solution that enabled researchers to search for and collaborate on data across the various data repositories. 

The Satori Solution

We provided project management support for this important initiative, quickly forming productive relationships with client stakeholders and vendors. We re-engineered the project schedule, as well as the status reporting, financial management and risk/issue resolution processes. Our team partnered more closely with the vendor and held them to a new level of accountability and transparency. We facilitated key meetings, crafted executive communications/presentations and drove action items to resolution to move the project forward. We shaped the deployment plan as well as the organizational change management approach for the first release of the search tool.

The Results

We helped the client successfully deploy the first release of the search and collaboration tool. We also ensured that the client was provide with the appropriate training, support and feedback mechanisms.
