A global European-based bank acquired another global European-based bank through a complex business restructuring activity, inheriting a significant operation in the Americas. Following the initial acquisition, the bank faced a number of strategic, regulatory, organizational and human resource challenges integrating its many operations across its newly expanded geographic regions. The client wanted to develop and manage a workforce consolidation program to ensure that the organizations in the newly expanded Americas region were adequately integrated and aligned with the strategic, regulatory, and organizational guidelines and goals.

We developed a workforce consolidation program, engaged and managed the client resources to execute it, and provided the structure to guide it through a multi-year integration. Our team established a governance framework to oversee and guide the initiative that included project plans and timelines, reporting processes and tools, and a staff communications strategy/plan. We provided ongoing leadership, facilitation and subject matter expertise in the area of human resources management, workforce consolidation and organizational effectiveness to keep the client on track and comfortable with its program. We served as a trusted advisor to the organization’s Americas CEO, other key business executives in the region, the Human Resources leadership team, and critical stakeholders from the European headquarters.
