Summary
We performed an assessment of the existing Information Security functions (in regional businesses) for our client, a media and marketing services company, and made recommendations for organization, governance, and processes. High-priority remediation projects were also identified.
Situation
Our client, a media and marketing services company, was in the process of creating a global advertising agency, technology, and research company by integrating several acquisitions. It was planned that Information Security will be centralized at the global level. Existing security weaknesses were highlighted by an issue.

It was determined that the current Information Security capability was reactive, while a proactive stance was required. We recommended changes to organization, governance, and processes along with short-term remediation projects.
