Summary
Satori managed the switch over for a global financial services firm from a legacy Human Resources system to a new cloud-based system with minimal disruption to service using a tightly controlled project plan and detailed coordination between many workstreams and stakeholders.
Situation
An industry leading financial services firm was switching from their outdated human resources software to a new cloud-based system. They needed to plan out how the switch over would happen with minimal disruption for the department and company.
Satori Solution
The Satori team worked with every workstream of the project to fully map out their cutover milestones, timeline, and dependencies. From there, Satori combined and coordinated the plans to identify discrepancies between the proposed schedules and risks to key milestones. Satori then set up a governance process to track milestones leading to go/no go decisions at key points. Issues and risks identified during the cut over governance process were escalated for remediation to ensure it went forward as planned The Satori team established the production support process after go live including how issues would be reported and triaged and what reporting and escalation processes would be used.
Finally, Satori worked with the technical and functional team members to established holistic test plans throughout cut over to ensure each new component that was prepared for launch was accurately configured and fully integrated with the rest of the project.
Results
The new cloud based HRIS system launched successfully and on schedule with minimal disruption to business functions. All data from the legacy system was transferred over within the timeframe allocated. The client implemented the plan for extensive 24-hour production support coverage to support the end users and ensure no major bugs or defects were missed.
