Supporting Internal Audit Response for Sales Tracking Tool Policy & Process Design


The internal corporate audit team of a leading global pharmaceutical company conducted a design review of the global roll-out of a new corporate policy on the use of sales tracking tools. The audit team made several observations that needed to be quickly and effectively addressed to the satisfaction of multiple stakeholders.

Our Project Managers attended the audit and worked alongside the sales tool organization’s Global Lead to answer any questions on the global assessment that preceded the policy, the policy itself, and the implementation approach. We facilitated pre-inspection meetings, served as project SMEs, and responded to questions and document requests from various stakeholders. Finally, we coordinated and drafter written responses to all audit observations and exercised an in-depth understanding of the functional areas


We enabled cross-functional alignment, such as pre-approval from the safety and legal organizations necessary for audit coordinators to respond quickly and confidently to auditors. We also prepared the organization for questions that might arise in the future. Although there were ultimately no audit findings or remediation actions, we helped the client proactively develop audit-ready materials and practices that will benefit the organization in future corporate audits and regulator inspections.
